Stakeholder Meetings on Justice-Involved Medi-Cal & Community Needs

Stakeholder Meetings on Justice-Involved Medi-Cal & Community Needs

Join ITUP for small intimate discussions on how incarceration impacts communities in Shasta, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties—and how California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM)’s justice-involved Medi-Cal benefit can create new opportunities for support.

Why This Matters

CalAIM’s justice-involved Medi-Cal benefit allows eligible individuals to enroll up to 90 days before release, enabling providers to assess their needs early and develop tailored support plans. This proactive approach improves access to health care, mental health services, housing, employment assistance, and substance use treatment, ultimately leading to better health outcomes and reduced recidivism.

What You’ll Gain from These Meetings

✔ Insights into the effects of incarceration on local communities
✔ A deeper understanding of Medi-Cal benefits for justice-involved individuals
✔ The opportunity to help identify community needs and strategic goals

Flexible Participation
