ITUP Releases Statement on 2024 Presidential Election Results

November 7, 2024

“At Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP), we are unwavering in our mission to advocate for health access and equity for all Californians, regardless of race, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender, background, or socioeconomic status. For over 25 years, ITUP has persevered through shifting political landscapes, standing firm in our commitment to building a health system rooted in dignity, fairness, and inclusivity for everyone. In this historic election, we are reminded that our work is not a moment but a movement.

We stand firmly against racism, bigotry, discrimination, and all forms of exclusion that limit health access and disproportionately impact marginalized communities. Health equity is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to eliminating barriers that prevent individuals and families from receiving the care they deserve.

In partnership with advocates, community leaders, and policymakers, ITUP will continue to safeguard and advance the rights and opportunities that support health for every Californian. United in purpose and guided by our enduring commitment, we can foster a health system that reflects our core values of respect, inclusion, and equity for all.”
