Regional Workgroups
Statewide & Regional Perspectives
For greater efficacy in addressing California’s
uninsured, ITUP has organized its studies of 48 of
California's counties into 9 regions. These regions
have been delineated on the basis of population characteristics
and health care needs, county health system models,
and geographic considerations. Regional workgroups
bring together a wide variety of local participants
including plans, clinics, counties, private providers,
advocates, labor, small business and brokers.
