In Memory of E. Richard Brown

ITUP would like to commemorate the life of E. Richard Brown, PhD, founding director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Under his leadership, the Center has become one of the nation’s leading health policy research centers and the premier source of health policy information and analysis on California’s population.
It is in great appreciation of the marvelous life and contributions of one of California’s most courageous and forward thinking health policy leaders that we celebrate his life.
Rick, we treasure you and miss you and dedicate all our efforts to your memory. You were a valued voice in founding and guiding state and federal health reform efforts. Your data studies set the standard for all of our efforts. Your unflagging passion inspired us during dark times. Your legacy is manifest in the efforts of so many health advocates across this country. Your kindness, compassion and leadership will be forever in our memories. I miss you our dear friend.
