I am excited to report that on this, the last day of the Legislative Session, Governor Schwarzenegger has signed Assembly Bill 1602 and Senate Bill 900, legislation that kick starts the state’s implementation of the California Health Benefit Exchange. PCIP Update

We received an update from MRMIB Executive Director Lesley Cummings yesterday on the status of California’s Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Program (PCIP). MRMIB is in the final stages of negotiations of contracts with PCIP’s two vendors (MAXIMUS and Health Now). Only once those are signed can coverage begin. Currently, MRIMB is… more
